Tazzy: Tweak it, of course! I mean, what with the HUGE amount of books and movies and TV shows around, chances are that your plot is going to contain aspects of different things that you may or may not even be a fan of.

Short response, but yes, that’s pretty much all there is to it. Edit your ideas, or write it in a way that doesn’t too closely emulate the TV show and the series of books.
