Divi: That’s rough, Anon. As someone involved in fan fiction as well, I cringed when I read this. This is why I wish the writing community and especially the fan fiction community would spend their time writing a constructive critique instead of bashing the story behind the author’s back. That’s not even to say your story is bad; chances are, that person felt differently about the characters you portrayed and reacted in such a way. This happens more often than not, and it’s more of an opinion than an actual fact, which is why it bothers me. You probably wrote a fantastic story, but that person simply didn’t agree with it. Don’t let that take your motivation to write away! Pick yourself up, start writing again, and remember that even if someone else isn’t pleased with it, as long as YOU are pleased with your writing, that’s all that matters. You do not have an obligation towards anyone and everything you write is solely because you enjoy doing so. Please remember that, Anon, and I’m sorry you had to deal with someone like that.
